Okay so I know that we have not posted in over a month, but that is because we have been having so much fun!!! Now that I have had some time to relax, I am trying to catch up on our blog.
So during the middle of August I went down to Texas for one week. I visited my friend Summer, whom I met when Tre graduated. (Summer is his cousin) While she was here we had a great time together, and she told me all about Texas and "the Valley". Hearing all these wonderful things about how things are down there made me want to go see it all for myself. THENNNNNNNN my wildest dreams came true, I bought myself a ticket and flew down there and stayed with her for one week. (I would have gone for longer but it is just the way that it worked out.)

| Movie in the Park Outreach |
I arrived on a Friday, and that night we went to help with an outreach in the park. First there were some rap groups that performed and then a movie. Well they were going to show a movie but couldn't get it to work, so they showed a short silent clip instead. Then a man from the McAllen church preached in Spanish, and 13 people made decisions for Christ. (Emily was next to me and interpreted what he was saying, to me.)

On Saturday we went on a beach trip to South Padre Island. The beach was just so beautiful, and the water was warm, I actually got to swim in it!!! I put on tons of sunblock so I didn't get a sunburn :)

While I was in McAllen there was also revival (special church services) with Pastor Arty Aragon. So unfortunately I did not get to hear the Pastor of the church (Roman Guiterrez) preach. But I did get to hear some awesome, powerful sermons by Pastor Aragon.

On my last day we had some people over and had lots of delicous food and ate this special cake. Summer made it!

While we were waiting to eat we had a water balloon fight. Earlier that day we filled up hundreds of water balloons. It was totally worth it!!!

While I was staying at Ruben and Chelsea's house, there son Ruben Jr., and daughter-in-law Stacey came over with the kids several times. I had a great time getting to know Stacey and I had fun playing with Hezekiah and Raiden. They are so cute, and I miss them ;-(

My experience in "the Valley" was more then I could have hoped for. I met so many people, and had such a great time. Ruben and Chelsea were so hospitable to me. I miss "the Valley" and the friends I made there. I hope to see them all again!
